WHY EACH BUILDING GETS ITS OWN SITE

A hay barn is not a hangar.

The questions are different: bale stacks and loader access for one, wingspan and door choice for the other. So each building type has a site that covers its own options, its own planning guides and a quote form that asks the right things.
CRE8 Steel is the front door to all of them.

3D DESIGNER ON EVERY SITE

Sketch it before you ask.

The quote page on each building site opens a 3D designer. Set the width, length and eave height, place the doors and pick the colors.
Choose "Request a quote" in the designer and the model is attached to your request, so the contractor prices the building you drew instead of guessing at it. You can also skip the designer and send the details in words.

FROM COUNTY PERMIT RECORDS

What North Florida is building.

Permits whose description names one of these building types, counted from each county's own published records. Counts only: no names, parcels or addresses.

509
Alachua County

Building permits naming a type on this network, Oct 2025 to Oct 2026.

59
Columbia County

Building permits naming a type on this network, Sep 2024 to Sep 2026.

90
Leon County

Building permits naming a type on this network, Jan 2018 to Jul 2026.

Each county publishes a different slice of its records, so the three figures cover different periods and are not comparable to each other.

BEFORE YOU ASK FOR A PRICE

Four things worth settling first.

01

Start from what goes inside

List the vehicles, animals, equipment or people the building has to hold, with the tallest and widest thing first. A footprint chosen before that list usually ends up a bay short.

02

Decide how much of the job you want quoted

A kit delivered to the lot, a building erected on your slab, and a finished building with site work and concrete are three different prices. Say which one you are asking for.

03

Know the land

Florida's code sets a design wind speed for every site, and lots near the Suwannee, the Santa Fe and their creeks can sit in a flood zone where the floor has to be raised. The address tells a contractor both.

04

Check the rules that are not the county's

Lots in subdivisions around Gainesville, Lake City and Tallahassee often carry deed restrictions or HOA covenants on outbuilding size, siding and color. Read them before you choose a panel color.

How it works

  1. 01

    Pick the building type

Open its site to see the options and read what to plan for.

  2. 02

    Send one request

Use that site's quote form, sketch the building in 3D if you like, or start here if you are not sure where it fits.

  3. 03

    A contractor calls you

One North Florida steel building contractor reviews the project with you and prices it. Nothing is built until you sign their contract.

Common questions

INDEPENDENT MATCHING SERVICE

What CRE8 Steel is

CRE8 Steel is an independent matching service; it builds nothing itself and holds no contracting license. Every request, from this site or from one of the 36 building sites, is handed to a single partner steel building contractor in North Florida. That company calls you, prices the building and, if you hire them, builds it on the company's own contract and license. Whenever a request ends in a job, the contractor may pay a referral fee to this network. Quotes cost you nothing, and asking for one carries no obligation.

NOT SURE WHICH BUILDING FITS

Describe the project. We will point it the right way.
